Sumnmary: My Melody discovers a strange egg and asks Hello Kitty for help in hatching it.
One fine morning, while My Melody was out walking, she discovered a strange egg. It was white with green circles. It was enormous and seemed to have been abandoned. Poor egg, she said to herself. Where is your mother? I have to help you hatch, but how? I know! My Melody takes her cell phone out of her pocket and dials Hello Kitty's number.
“Hello?” said her friend's voice.
“Hi, Kitty!”
“Oh, Melo, hi!”
“I need your help. Your husband Dear Daniel knows a lot about eggs, doesn't he?”
“Yes, but he taught me everything.”
“Great! I found an abandoned egg and was wondering if...”
“I can help. I have an incubator at home.”
“Perfect! I'll bring you the egg.”
“But don't get your hopes up. If it's not fertile, the incubator won't be able to change anything.”
“I know. See you later.”
“Bye!”
My Melody brings the egg to her friend Hello Kitty. They put it in the incubator.
“All we can do now is wait,” said Hello Kitty.
“How long?” asked My Melody.
“Several days at least.”
My Melody sighed. She wished it would hatch faster.
“You can go home now,” said Hello Kitty. “I'll call you if it hatches.”
“Okay. Have a good day!”
My Melody returns home. Three days later, her cell phone rings.
“Hello?” she asks.
“Melo, it's Daniel,” says Dear Daniel's voice. “The egg is hatching. Come quickly!”
My Melody rushes to her friend's house. When she arrives, she sees a baby in the incubator. It looks like a white and green dinosaur.
“It keeps saying ‘Yoshi,’” says Hello Kitty. “That must be its name.”
“Or the name of its species,” adds Dear Daniel. “I’ll have to do some research. Find out what it eats.”
“Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?” asks My Melody.
“No idea,” reply Dear Daniel and Hello Kitty at the same time.
This makes Daniel, Kitty and Melody laugh. The baby seems to be laughing too.
